ASBN caught up with Jamie Kim, founder of Jamie’s Farm, at the 2025 U.S. Chamber of Commerce CO-100 Awards to hear how her homemade granola became a national sensation.
Kim began baking granola in high school, giving it away as gifts to friends. The trend continued in college, where she baked in her dorm kitchen. Encouraged by classmates, she started holding pop-ups on campus, in local grocery stores and at cafes. During her senior year, Whole Foods reached out with a deal for her.
Today, Jamie’s Farm granola is sold in over 250 stores nationwide, including Whole Foods, MOM’s Organic Market and Central Market. Looking ahead, Kim hopes to open a local regenerative farm for the community, expand Jamie’s Farm’s product offerings and partner with more artisans.

She advises aspiring entrepreneurs to ignore the noise and define their own success. For her, selling her products at local farmers’ markets and seeing the joy they sparked in her customers fulfilled her.
