Why 2021 Will Be The Best Year Ever For Small Businesses – Tom Sullivan, U.S. Chamber of Commerce

Author: ASBN Newsroom

COVID-19 has impacted the way we live, the way we do business, and the way we spend money. The timeline of the pandemic is uncertain but businesses are reopening and the economy is attempting a re-start. To give us more insight into that timeline and address the sentiments of small business owners we’re pleased to welcome back Tom Sullivan, Vice President of Small Business Policy at the U.S. Chamber to discuss the state of small business in the U.S. and how the Chamber’s support is more crucial now than ever.

Working with chambers of commerce and the U.S. Chamber’s nationwide network, Tom harnesses the views of small businesses and translates that grassroots power into federal policies that bolster free enterprise and reward entrepreneurship. He runs the U.S. Chamber’s Small Business Council, engaging those members on a regular basis to increase small business input and involvement in Chamber activities.

In this segment, Jim and Tom discuss the PPP extension, finding from the Small Business Coronavirus Impact Poll, sectors that are thriving as a result of the pandemic and which have been hurt the most, working remotely and predictions for the new normal, and tools or programs the U.S. Chamber is offering to businesses who are currently struggling.

Tune-in to hear more from Tom and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
